Warts under sole of foot
Melany (10) has a wart on both soles of her feet. I explain that this has to do with a divorce dispute. I ask her how she experiences her parents’ divorce. She says she is fine with separate life. Her behavior sometimes says otherwise. She can be very sad and angry at times. We regularly discuss how she likes it with mom and with dad. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being separated.
Patience and self-confidence
Her warts are not yet gone. She asks when her warts will go away. I say to Melany, ‘We don’t know yet what’s really bothering you, suddenly you’ll know and then suddenly your wart will be gone quickly. We’ll wait until we do know, ok?’
A while later, Melany suddenly woke up and screamed, “Mommy, my feet understood the story, my warts are completely gone.” Melany gets a big compliment for her wise body and patience. Her body resolved itself and this gives Melany confidence. She continued to talk to her warts, asking to understand the warts story. This worked out!
Warts tell you a story
A wart under the soles of the feet represents the resolution of a separation conflict. Melany wanted to run away from the situation, but she couldn’t. Until the conflict was resolved, the warts remained. Because they are mostly considered dirty, more are actually added.
