Read Rowan and Mariëtte's stories below, plus an explanation of dyscalculia.
Rowan has dyscalculia, along with difficulty with fine and gross motor skills, difficulty concentrating and insecure
According to the grade three teacher, Rowan (7) cannot keep up well in class. He also has concentration disorders and dyscalculia, according to her. Rowan’s mother becomes overprotective as a result. The worries of mother and his teacher stress Rowan out.
Where does mother’s uncertainty come from? She is emotional as she tells her story during HeartConnection Training. By her husband and those around her, she does not feel understood. They live in her in-laws’ yard. Here she does not feel comfortable, but it is financially convenient. So mother just adjusts.
Uncertainty from mother to son
Finally she can tell her story, she is understood by the group and she understands that her own emotions and insecurities have gotten to her son. Also during her pregnancy, mother felt insecure in relation to her husband, who is busy at work and has no time for her. He wants to be in a good light with his parents. Through hard work, he meets his parents’ demands. Mother feels herself stuck in the relationship. This results in poor motor skills in Rowan. Mother’s insecurity comes directly to Rowan, who feels insecure with school, writing, friends, sports, and so on.
Mother involves father in this story. At first father thinks it is nonsense, but to save his marriage he is motivated to listen to his wife. They talk more together and through Rowan’s story, they come closer together. And more and more together we understand the story of Rowan’s dyscalculia. She is also continuing training HeartConnection 2 to explore her own Life Blueprint and provide even better guidance to her son.
A conversation before bedtime
At bedtime, Mother tells Rowan, “I thought Daddy didn’t have time for me when I was pregnant with you. Time is numbers. Also for financial (= numbers) reasons we live with grandparents, this didn’t feel right to me during your pregnancy. It made me insecure and invisible, out of balance. Possibly this is what gave you dyscalculia. You know, when I wanted to get pregnant with you, I thought I had made a miscalculation. Just like you make math mistakes every time you do math. You can leave this with Mommy and Daddy. We love you and Mom and Dad are talking to each other more and more, we like this. There is more and more balance in our lives. You make us happy to be completely ourselves.’ After six months, Rowan is no longer behind. He has fun with reading and math.
A few years later
After several years I meet Rowan and his mother again, Rowan is still doing very well in school, he is motivated and mother is no longer worried. Playfully, mother and Rowan gained more self-confidence. Rowan has learned to set his limits, which helps him focus better. Because mom and dad understood the story, Rowan has started to learn better, play sports and write (fine motor skills), he has fun friends and his concentration problems have disappeared.
Mariëtte 14 years – Best in math within three months
Mariëtte 14 years old has math problems from age 8. From the time parents got divorced with many extreme financial stresses on both parents. The child blocked out numbers to avoid being reminded of this separation stress. After Mariëtte and her parents understand this story, she becomes the best in math within three months. Mariëtte understands that her blockage is her parents’ stress; this relieves her immensely. At night before bed, she gives all this stress back to her parents. She gains tremendous self-confidence from her good results and becomes more comfortable in her skin.
Her mother will take the HeartConnection Training to better guide her children. She finds out that there is financial stress in both families, also in both families (father’s side and mother’s side) there is financial fraud. Mother understands that she also found herself in a financial stress situation. She understands her fears of falling short. From generation to generation this is passed on. Therefore, within HeartConenction there is no blame, judgment and victimization. It is our honorable task to de-program, this you will learn from HeartConnection Training….
Many childhood themes are addressed during the HeartConnection Training.
