Restless sleeping and tantrums Laurin (age 3)
..... an arduous labor that ended in a hospital. Laurin immediately had to be treated with antibiotics for ten days and was in the incubator ward. There is still a lot of sadness and anger with Christiane that she did not listen to her feelings.
Laurin (3) suffered from frequent tantrums and was often restless. He slept poorly and looked pale in his countenance. At HeartConnection, it became clear where that came from.
No good feeling
Mother Christiane (38) said she had chosen an obstetrician specially trained in underwater births who attended only two to three women a month. Several weeks before giving birth, she shared that she wanted to undergo breast reduction surgery and that the operation would take place just before Christiane’s due date. Intuitively, it was immediately clear to Christiane that this was not good for her and her child, but she did nothing. What was supposed to happen happened: a hard labor that ended in a hospital. Laurin immediately had to be treated with antibiotics for 10 days and was in the incubator ward. There is still a lot of sadness and anger with Christiane that she did not listen to her feelings.
Understanding and relaxation
After Christiane understood this, Laurin fell into a relaxation, caught a bad cold with a fever, and the rages seemed even stronger for a while. Now he is much more relaxed, sleeps well and has nice apple cheeks. The tantrums are much less. She is glad she got this clear through HeartConnection.
Tantrums and fever
In tantrums, two territory conflicts go together: identity conflict and territory annoyance conflict. During childbirth, Laurin probably suffered these conflicts. And probably Laurin suffers these conflicts for his mother. These are the annoyance that mother experienced during the delivery process in relation to her midwife, plus the identity conflict ‘what kind of mother am I that I did not listen to my feelings?’ In other words, ‘what place do I occupy as a ‘new’ mother?’ The recovery (= resolution) of these conflicts comes with a fever.
Safety and the common cold
Mother had to be alert before her delivery, as there was danger to her and to the birth of her son. The midwife would not be there for her. She smelled danger. She then, like an animal, stuck her nose in the air to smell where the danger was coming from. Her little son probably perceived this as “when mommy doesn’t listen to her feelings, it’s unsafe for me and mommy. Mom resolved the insecurity by understanding “it’s better if I listen to my feelings from now on. This also caused Laurin to go into solution and he gets a bad cold (= recovery). Fortunately, mother is immensely relieved that she finally understands her son. Laurin told the story of his mother and childbirth.
