Teething
Chicken pox, measles, mumps, rubella, scarlet fever, what story do these childhood diseases tell? Below detailed explanation and example.
Are childhood diseases contagious?
From biology, TPM (a conflict) strikes the brain, body and there is character change to best “survive” TPM. Each TPM is unique. How an individual experiences this determines the nature of TPM and where it strikes in the brain with its associated organ. From TPM, the biological process starts, and after dissolution, the healing phase follows. This is an individual process for everyone. Therefore, contagion does not exist in biology. However, the fear of contamination does exist. This leads to a tarnish-TPM. From this defilement-TPM, man will then get this particular disease anyway out of fear of infection.
The childhood diseases mumps, measles, rubella, chickenpox and scarlet fever fall under the ectoderm germ sheet and have their origins in a segregating TPM.
The childhood disease itself occurs in the healing phase.
Chickenpox
From anthroposophy (R. Steiner), chicken pox is one of the most important childhood diseases: the child learns to stand on its own two feet. Chicken pox are fluid blisters on the skin. The skin is in relation to separation-TPMs and the vesicles with fluid indicate healing stage. Chickenpox is therefore recovery from a separation-TPM with the mother. The child finds out that he can do things on his own, without a mother: I am getting older now and am more on my own.
Change
Chickenpox often occurs with a change in the child’s life. For example: mother gets a new job, a move, mother is pregnant or miscarried again and so on. Mother changes her attitude toward the child. Or there is change in the child’s life, such as a new teacher, a different school, going to daycare, a different babysitter or the child goes to school. Consider this also with an adopted child.
Tip: oatmeal bath
Tip: Because chicken pox can be extremely itchy, a bath with oatmeal is very nice for the child. The skin becomes soft and the bumps and itching are reduced. And understand the story your child is telling.
Measles
Measles gives high fever and spots on the skin. Measles, like chicken pox, is a sign of autonomy, self-reliance and independence. Biologically, measles is the healing phase of a separation-TPM. Measles needs to get out, like something explodes, the fire comes out.
TPMs
- Measles in and around the mouth: you want to spit something out (words).
- Measles on and in the nose: something smells foul. Click here for stink-TPM, cold.
- Measles on the skin general: separation-TPM. Click here for more information on divorce.
Themes:
- The child is separated from the parents.
- A loved one unexpectedly says, “You are no longer my friend(s).
- The child hears that the parents are getting divorced.
- Mother wants to spit something out (words, the lump), the mouth.
- Mother no longer accepts the child urinating and/or defecating in the diaper.
- ‘Mama takes care of me. Now I realize I can do it myself.’
- ‘I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. Mom beat me in front of everyone. I feel shame toward others.’
Mumps
Mumps often begins with fever and a swollen cheek due to an inflamed salivary gland. Eating, chewing, swallowing and opening the mouth wide hurts.
Separation-TPM: living and eating
Like measles and chicken pox, mumps represents healing from segregation-TPM. The separation-TPM in this case is in relation to eating and great stress over something emotional. For example: you are suddenly “robbed” of your favorite food. To the subconscious mind, living and eating are the same thing. The child cannot eat that which keeps him alive. Or the child cannot catch and/or digest something easily: it suffers from a lump. It may also be that the child experiences that many things are too difficult, for example, “No one helps me, and I am all alone because there is only one parent.
The mumps story of Thom (12)
Thom is sent to a boarding school because his results at school are not good enough. There Thom gets different food than he is used to. From biology, mother, who takes care of the nest (at home), is supposed to take care of its food. Thom experiences great stress at boarding school and he gets the mumps. Separated from mother, he is on his own and he finds it very difficult at boarding school and then also no good food.
Mumps is healing, how is this possible? The biology, nature of the child over time accepts the new territory, nest (home), this is the best strategy for survival, this is when Thom gets the mumps.
Crop ball inflammation
25% of boys with mumps develop testicular inflammation (source: wikipedia). The biological relationship lies the separation-TPM together with masculinity conflict, see testicle.
Red Dog
Rubella often begins with a cold after which red spots appear on the skin. Rubella involves a segregation-TPM, similar to measles. Also, red dog represents a TPM that has to do with not being able to get hold of something or having a foul odor. A situation with an air of guilt and shame.
For example: a husband slaps his wife in the face in front of their friends. The woman is deeply ashamed. Their little daughter gets rubella.
Mother had rubella in pregnancy (adults can also get childhood diseases). She was humiliated for years by her husband, whom she wanted to be separated from, but she remains with him. During her fourth pregnancy, she found out that her husband was involved in shady dealings. She had long had suspicions, but could not get hold of them. In her pregnancy, her suspicions are confirmed. A TPM that has a smell to it and at the same time she is ashamed of her husband’s behavior that she wants to be separated from. After this confirmation, mother goes into solution, she releases her stress and gets rubella. A new phase in her life emerges, she gains new friends who support her.
Scarlet fever
Scarlet fever is a childhood illness with fever, sore throat and a red, rough rash.
Scarlet fever also has to do with a healing of a separation-TPM. In this case, often coupled with a TPM with mean words or with flowers.
When the mother is four months pregnant with her daughter, her husband acts very mean to her. Mother wants to be separated from these harsh words. The child receives this TPM immediately. At age four she gets scarlet fever, she goes into solution and releases this incident from her parents.
Sofie (28) marries Sjon (36), mainly because he is a lawyer. After several years, Sjon finds this out and the relationship takes on a whimsical atmosphere. Sjon wants to be separated from Sofie, but they stay together because of the children. Their daughter (2.5) gets scarlet fever at the time father wants to be separated from his wife. The daughter receives the painful words father heard, this is TPM. Children often release their parents’ TPMs through childhood illnesses.
Xander (42) and his Christy (39) had a big fight and the next day he comes home with a very large bouquet of flowers. Christy then develops scarlet fever, much to her surprise. Adults can also get “childhood diseases. Research has shown that scarlet fever is related to flowers. In this case, flowers given to make up for something, from an argument, conflict or to redeem guilt.
Every complaint or illness tells your own story
The child tells a story and, as a parent, begin to understand it together. Come to a Four Day Training and ask your question about your child. Click here for the story of Saskia, her daughter cured of juvenile rheumatism after her question was answered during the One Day.
