Concussion
Head has to do with intellect or an attack against the head. Sometimes you have to hit your head hard to wake up or to reflect on where you are in life at that moment.
Mild traumatic head injury, or concussion, results from a blow or bump to the head. This involves literally shaking the brain for a short time. The brain itself is not damaged (long-term) in the process (source: isala.nl). The cause of a blow can be many.
Peak in solution
Head has to do with intellect or an attack against the head. In biphasicity, a blow, collision is the epi-crisis, the peak of a solution. Sometimes you have to hit your head hard to wake up or to reflect on where you are in life at that moment. For themes of the head click here for migraines, click here for meningitis.
Marlene’s haste
Marlène (39) did everything in a hurry, always fast. Her hobbies were running, mountain biking and rollerblading. With her two daughters (5 and 6), she did not really have a bond. She failed to connect herself to motherhood. While rollerblading, she took a fall and hit her head on a curb. Marlene has been in a coma for three weeks and they fear for her life. Fortunately, Marlene comes out of a coma. She needs rehabilitation, re-learning to talk, walk, and so on. After a year, Marlene made a full recovery, much to the doctors’ surprise. I met Marlène shortly before her accident. At that time, Marlene’s stress level was 10 on the scale of 0-10. Rarely have I experienced someone with such a high stress level. It was a spirited conversation, in which I made it clear to her that something really needed to change in her life. She wasn’t really aware of that at the moment. The accident awakened something in her. Through rehabilitation, Marlène gained patience and developed a bond with her daughters. According to her, the blow was the greatest gift to truly becoming and being herself. She is grateful for the relationship with her daughters and can truly enjoy her motherhood and life.
The runaway father of Tess
Tess (46) suffers a concussion at age 25 from a fall on the back of her head. At 45, she stands in front of an eyewear store looking at her. She puts her head forward and bangs her forehead against the store window. Tess has a concussion for the second time. This time the recovery lags. A year later, she is still suffering from her concussion. What story does her concussion tell? In her Life Blueprint, she had little space in the womb with her head, as if her twin brother “pushed her away” and took up more space. Taking little or no space appears to be a pattern in her life, she says. If we look at patterns at 45-35-25-15-5 years, a picture suddenly shoots up. She is five years old and her father runs away from the family, literally. She runs after father, behind the glass of the door she sees father running away, but father does not respond. She shouts very loudly, “Daddy, Daddy don’t leave,” but he doesn’t hear her, it seems. Immediately she goes back to this memory, Tess feels rejection, panic, sadness, despair, pressure on her throat, as if it were closing. Her throat hardens, she feels trapped. Nausea rises and from her throat she feels it tugging at her head. This produces a sense of deep sadness. As if pulled backwards. Powerless, queasy, sad. Floppy, her head falls back, spinning, dizzy and she lies down. She stays connected to what she feels in her body and therefore to her emotions and memory as a five-year-old. Suddenly quiet, she feels space.
The memory of her fifth year repeated Tess through the blow to the store window. In certain cases, if she saw someone walking away without saying anything, her subconscious could bring Tess back to her memory of her father walking away without communication, he wasn’t listening. All the painful emotions then come up directly from this conflict impact. This then becomes a pattern in life to be resolved. Now she can connect-melt-let go of the unpleasant memory, the conflict impact. Tess is no longer five years old, but 46.
