Bachelor of Law Course Code

In most common law countries (with the exception of all Canadian provinces except Quebec and the United States), the Bachelor of Laws program is usually enrolled immediately after the end of high school. In England and Wales, it is also possible to study a conversion programme to the legal profession after completion of an earlier bachelor`s degree that has nothing to do with law (the Graduate Diploma in Law), which allows graduates to take the professional courses to enter the legal profession. Master`s programs are also offered to university graduates; those taking such courses have the right to use the initials LL.M. (Master of Laws). The following 2 courses (24 units) are only available to students who have been accepted with specialization in law: LAW440 Research Methods, Design and ConfirmationLAW441 Specialization Thesis in Law It can also strengthen your knowledge and confidence in the areas you need for your degree, such as science or mathematics. TPP courses are free for eligible Canadian students. In India, legal education is traditionally offered in the form of a three-year university degree that confers the title of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B./B.L.) and requires prospective students to have a bachelor`s degree in any subject from a recognized institution. This course uses ATAR as part of its selection. In your second year, you will take courses worth four units among the legal options. Options include the following areas: medical law, human rights law, commercial law, information technology law, family law, EU law, environmental law, intellectual property law, corporate insolvency law, labour law, criminology, property law, international law, taxation, media law, competition law, global Community law. A non-legal option can be used in the second or third year.

Students can request a course transfer if they wish to move to a new course, campus or mode. Students` academic achievement requires the successful completion of at least 4 units of study plus the Requirements of the Weighted Average Grade (WAM), which are listed here. From spring 2022 (2224), the law and justice courts were renumbered and renamed LCJS as a code of subject matter. These courses count as well as their previous LEGLST or ADMJ equivalent for majors and minors in legal studies. In the United Kingdom, as well as in other common law jurisdictions, the main approach is entry into the LL.B. graduate degree, where graduates of another discipline can complete the LL.B. as a second degree, although this may sometimes require participation in qualifying law courses in the first degree to fully meet professional requirements. Therefore, it is not entirely correct to consider it an “accelerated” degree. This course offers students the opportunity to complete one or more learning units integrated into the module. In Singapore, the LL.B. is a bachelor`s degree awarded by the National University of Singapore (NUS), singapore University of Management (SMU) or Singapore University of Social Sciences after four years of study. Three-year graduate degrees are also awarded by NUS with its LL.B. (Honours) course and SMU with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Course. In September 2020, NUS announced that it was replacing its graduate LLB with a JD program. [25] The JD will be a three-year program for applicants with a non-legal degree or a two-year program for international candidates who wish to practice law in Singapore and who already have a basic law degree. To be admitted to the Singapore Bar, graduates must have at least an LLB with a lower second-class NIS award[26] or a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 from SMU. [27] LLB students: Oral and written communication skills are put into practice and assessed throughout the course. In particular, students will develop skills in legal writing and argumentation. These skills will benefit participants` ability to communicate with clients and colleagues in both legal and non-legal contexts.

LLB with specialization students: Communicate effectively and confidently and in written form to present well-reasoned arguments, challenge existing theories and defend new ideas and theories in various modes based on doctrinal or interdisciplinary research.
